Bobby Herrera is a writer and director who creates a wide range of content for brands, entertainment and fine art. His brand work includes projects for Boeing, Go Army, CBSSports.com, Lenovo, Shutterstock Studios, Express Scripts, CBS Interactive, McKesson, CDW, Coors, National BBQ League, Saint Louis University, Evernorth, The Cigna Group, Paraquad, Thomas J Henry Law, ACT Inc, Blues Hog and Wells Fargo Advisors.

Bobby is a 2020 Sundance Feature Film Fellow, a Will & Jada Smith Family Foundation Grant Recipient, and an SFFILM Westridge Grant Winner. Recently he was named a 2024 Berlinale Talents Director and Fellow.

He shot, directed and edited the feature-length documentary “The Gray Seasons,” which earned distribution with All Channel Films. His no-budget indie feature narrative “Palacios” premiered in 2017 and was picked up for 2018 distribution by Freestyle Digital Media. Bobby also executive produced and directed the doc/reality show “Hangin’ With Los Henrys,” which garnered over 35 million views on YouTube Red. He is currently working on his next feature documentary, “The Seven Ages of Olajuwon.”

Bobby was born and raised in Corpus Christi, Texas, and attended Baylor University and Washington University in St. Louis, where he studied architecture, art, and literature. He lives in St. Louis City with his wife, daughter, and dogs.
